18 March - Sea day

Awake about 6am, Sunrising on other side of ship, might aim to watch that tomorrow...maybe.

Blog completed for yesterday. A good nights sleep with ship rocking us.

I took off for a walk and oriented myself to the ship, checking out most bars, theatres, rooms, decks and pools etc.

Breakfast meeting time 9.00 at Empire Room. No Dad. Eventually got that sorted, with a bit of mix up with times.

The day was a Sea day - lots of options.

We all chose to do whatever took our fancy around the ship, with some choosing balcony sitting, others did some activities around the ship - including raffles, facials, sushi making show, back and posture seminar.

Raffle time in Spirit Bar following Sushi demonstration

View from our Balcony....sea, sun and a few clouds. At some point today I checked the TV for info in the room.  Sea Depth at that time was 4700m - pretty damn deep.
Without plans for lunch, we all touched base, by chance over lunch on Lido deck.
Pre dinner entertainment, began with Guitar with Rachel in the Red Frog Pub, then Black Diamonds-Classic Strings in the Alchemy Bar, followed by early dinner  in the Empire room - with our rockstar table - centre back of the boat with huge porthole.
Lei's ready to go.

Rockstart Dinner Table

Ready for dinner.

The boys all dressed and ready for Caribbean Island theme dinner.

Deep in conversation in Alchemy Lounge, listening to Black Diamonds, classic strings, before dinner.

My stuffed capsicum entree

It was tiny...but delicious

A short visit from the Pirate of the Caribbean. A sting by the photo crew on board, this was the only shot I managed to get, they were super quick, so you have to buy THEIR photo.
After dinner we trotted off to the front end of ship to Pharaoh's Theatre for the evening show - Epic Rock, then onto the Shanghai Lounge for Piano with Kevin, which we enjoyed along with a lot of happy and slightly drunk people, who really got into the sing along component. Kevin was tinkling the ivories of a grand piano, with a huge selection of songs from which the audience would request - everything from Elton, Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, Adele, the Barbie Girl song, Johnny Cash,  Queen, In Excess, plus many many others - stayed a bit too late really. Then back to bed.

Ready to rock at the Epic Rock show.

  1. My favourites today were the "Can't Remember Room" the "maybe Red Frog Pub" and the "animal" on the bed!" Lol! Didn't even hazard a guess for the towel animal today!
